Cancer causes and treatment

Scientifically:

Cancer results from a mutation that occurs in a chain of deoxyribonucleic acid (deoxyribonucleic acid) found in cells. This chain in the human body contains a set of commands prepared for those cells that determine how to grow, develop, and divide.

It is noted that healthy cells tend most of the time to make changes in their DNA, but they remain capable of correcting the bulk of these changes. It is noted that if they are unable to make these corrections, the cells that have gone deviated often die.

It is noted that these abnormalities that cannot be corrected may grow, leading to their transformation into cancerous cells.

The question is: How does cancer spread in the human body?

In some types of cancer, the cells accumulate as a cancerous tumor.

Note that not all types of cancer produce cancerous tumors.

For example, leukemia affects blood cells and does not produce a tumor, as well as bone marrow cancer and does not produce a tumor, as well as the lymphatic system, and likewise the spleen, all of these types of cancers do not produce a tumor.

The process of cancer development begins with genetic deviation, and researchers believe that the development of cancer requires a number of changes in internal cells that include:

1An initiating factor is the cause of the genetic change.

This initiating factor may:

Sometimes a person is born with a deviation in some genes.

This deviation may occur as a result of a strong effect on the body, as is the case with viruses, hormones, and chronic infections.

This deviation may occur as a result of forces acting outside the body, such as when the human body is exposed to ultraviolet rays, or as a result of its exposure to carcinogenic factors and materials, or cancer-causing chemicals, such as those that infect humans by infecting plants or animals that they may eat.

  1.  Factors that help cells grow quickly may include:

These factors take advantage of the genetic changes and deviations caused by the primary factors, because the cofactors make these cells divide more quickly than usual, which can lead to the cells increasing and accumulating, forming a cancerous tumor.

Noting that these auxiliary factors are transmitted either by genetics, and they may be inside the body, or they may arrive from outside the body and enter it.

  1. Encouraging factors that make cancer more aggressive and aggressive and help it spread.

Benign cancer

It is noted that without these encouraging factors, the tumor may remain benign and limited, which reduces its spread.

However, encouraging factors make the cancer more aggressive and increase the likelihood that the cancer will invade and destroy nearby tissues. They also increase the likelihood that the cancer will spread to other organs throughout the body.

It is noted that the contributing, initiating and encouraging factors can be transmitted genetically, or be formed as a result of the effects of environmental factors.

It is also noted that the genetic and living environment surrounding us can form the basis for the formation and development of cancer. If it is transmitted to another person by inheritance, this represents a genetic deviation that may increase the possibility of developing a certain cancer. This will make this person more susceptible to this type. More than people exposed to the same factor that can cause that cancer.

Factors that lead to the possibility of developing cancer:

1Age: The development of cancer can take several decades for its presence to be recognized, which confirms its appearance in those over the age of 55 years.

2Bad habits: There are bad lifestyle patterns that may increase the spread of this disease, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, and excessive exposure to sunlight.

3Family history: Only an estimated 10% of all cancer cases are due to a genetic cause. If cancer is widespread in the family, it is very likely that genetic abnormalities will be transmitted by inheritance.

4Health status in general: such as chronic diseases, such as ulcerative colitis, as this can greatly increase the probability of developing certain types of cancer.

5The surrounding living environment: It may contain harmful chemicals, which increases the risk of carcinogenic diseases.

     Examples include asbestos or benzene.
